Dangerous Seaquake Southwest of Australia

On 10 November 2010, near the lower left corner of the chart below, a magnitude 6.4 earthquake erupted in the seabed.  This event could have generated potent pressure changes in the water above the epicenter.  If so, a pod of diving whales, caught off guard by this event, could have been injured (barotrauma) resulting in a mass stranding somewhere along the southern shore of Australia or western shores of Tasmania.  The locations of stranding site depends solely on the flow of the surface currents over the next few weeks.  My GUESS now is King Island area between the mainland and Tasmania.  Target date around 5 December 2010. Likely species: pilot or sperm whales.

The major drawback to this prediction coming true involves the magnitude of this event.  Earthquakes >6 mag often emit precursors signals several hours before the main eruptions.  If this was the case here, any pod near the epicenter would have detected these signals and moved out of the danger zone.
