Classic Example of a Lost Pilot Whale

A Lesson in Understanding Why Whales Beach: My stranding theory indicates that beached whales and dolphins swim blindly into the shore because they are suffered a previous barotrauma-style injury that damaged their cranial air spaces and knocked out the sense of direction. Rarely is there a particular stranding that illustrates this any more than the one that occurred last night in Otago, New Zealand. Attempts to stop a 4m-long pilot whale from beaching itself at Kaka Point, Otago, New Zealand failed. The whale was eventually left to die on the rocks. This whale was suffering for a severe pressure-related injury (barotrauma) that damaged its cranial air spaces and caused this animal to lose all sense of direction. This whale resides in a pod... where are the other pilot whales? Residents, police, firefighters and the Kaka Point Surf Life Saving Club spent more than two hours trying to help the injured whale back out to sea, but in the end the whale's desire to beach itsel

Earthquake Kills 39 Pilot Whales

DID AN UNDERSEA EARTHQUAKE CAUSE PILOT WHALES TO BEACH NEAR NAPLES FLORIDA? Thirty-nine short-finned pilot whale were spotted swimming near shore Just off Naples; 33 carcasses were found. Six were likely taken by sharks. Mass beachings have been going on for millions of years; any acceptable answer must account for this long time span and explain ALL the repeat observations in the stranding area. The THE SEAQUAKE SOLUTION is the only concept that accounts for the long history and also explains all the consistent observation. At 12:45 PM local time, on 23 December 2013, a whale-dangerous submarine earthquake occurred in the North Atlantic inside a known habitat for short-finned pilot whales. The epicenter was located ~850 miles east of Miami, Florida and ~500 miles north of San Juan, Puerto Rico at 25.70 N ; 66.70 W. The action in the seafloor during this event was vertical thrusting. The focal point of the seismic release was only 2 km below the water's surface.

Why Did Pilot Whales Beach at Golden Bay, New Zealand on 15 Nov. 2012?

5.9 MAG. EARTHQUAKE SOUTH OF TASMANIA ON 18 SEPTEMBER 2012 CAUSES BEACHING AT GOLDEN BAY NEW ZEALAND ON 15 NOVEMBER 2012  Notice all the flotsam washed in with the whales in the above beachings.  This is evidence that the whales were not navigating when they went ashore.  They were washed into the beach by the flow of the incoming surface currents. The epicenter of the quake was located in the lower left hand corner of the chart. The surface currents were washing due east at first.  The whales would have been shifted northern side of this flow by the Coriolis affect. The surface currents then swung to the north.  The non-navigating pod were carried north and around the southern tip South Island and then north along the western shore to the northern tip of South Island where they were finally washed into the the sand by a strong shoreward flow. These whales were at sea for 27 days without food and water; they were dehydrated, exhausted, and near death when they went
